As the saying goes, an intelligent man learns from his mistakes. A wise many learns from the mistakes of others. As such, I'll go with wisdom.

Wisdom. You need to be able to discern things in life, and it doesn't matter if you are the smartest person, to lack wisdom is to lack application of your intelligence.

I choose wisdom too because off of what you just said a person can die and we will learn something.

Without wisdom you can't properly apply intelligence

Depends if you want to cast arcane magic or divine magic.

Wisdom

I think only a fool would even choose. One cannot exist without the other. When intelligence is used without wisdom you can destroy a lot in the process. However wisdom without intelligence can lead to not being able to expand your wisdom due to the lack of intelligence to understand the issues your wisdom has to deal with in general, which can also work against you.
Intelligent people may create a future, with new technology, medical science etc. It takes wisdom to understand how far you can go and that there is a limit to everything. It also takes wisdom to learn from everything that goes wrong, and not only what goes to you thanks to you, but by what others do wrong, as well, and even things no man can be held responsible for.

Neither is more useful than the other. We need both. And when it gets out of balance, we might face the terrible consequences.

Intelligence is knowing that tomatoes are fruit. Wisdom is not putting them in a fruit salad. In other words, intelligence is knowing something, wisdom is properly applying it. So while both are helpful, I'd rather be able to use what little I know than have tons of knowledge and not know what to do with it.

I've been intelligent all my long life and it's come in handy every day. I've become wise only recently, and it's further limited in that no one ever takes my advice ( :
