I had a wonderful German Shepherd that died last October that I had for 8 years. Still hurts.

I've had cats and dogs but the humanity this Shepherd had was amazing. Truly gentle. But she was abused before I got her.

It's okay. She had bad hips and I had to carry her upstairs. She lived longer than had many people that would have owned her would have dealt with. But she was the most caring dog I knew. Loved all animals but sheep, for some reason.

That was a good run for her. Whipped Cream (my cat's name) lived for 3 years

The saddest part is that she died because of obesity

Yeah, her name is Whipped Cream. She is a sweet, soft, and fat cat. I loved her so much (she is 1 in 1,000,000,000 to me).

That's a lovely name, Whipped Cream. :) Judging from the photo, she appeared to be an adult; I've heard that female cats were more tempermental than male cats, but Whipped Cream seemed different.

Most of the time, me and Whipped Cream would either take a nap together or watch a movie. (Sometimes, she will even steal my fries)

Yes, they may not be human but they can outsmart us.

This reminds me of a myriad of triats animals have that humans do not. We can't run as fast as Cheetas, "change " color as Camilions, see as far as do the Eagles, have night vision capability as Cats, or have the strength as Gorillas. In comparison to the animal kingdom, all our senses are poor in comparison and yet we rule the world.
