I don't, actually. I vote based on the individuals and even take into account general policy politics. Normally, I vote for the Republican candidate as I am, surprising as it may be to hear, more libertarian than I am conservative and more conservative than I am liberal. I do not hold the same irrational fear of Democratic nominees as most of my peers do, and recognize the hypocrisy of anti-political correctness growing within my own party. They want to move away from political correctness, which I am not keen on, yet they continue to use political correctness against liberals and Democrats. While it is ideal to point out the shortcomings of political correctness, it basically shifts the standard to double. Not just on Democrats/liberals part but Republicans/conservatives as well.
I'd be happy to engage with you further but I'd much rather hear your take on it. After all, it feels like I'm contributing a majority of information both personal and general in these little "conversations" but it utterly defeats the purpose if you have no real wish to engage.
