Well it really is the same in the Modern world of Information isnt it.

Let's say back in the day you owned a chalkboard and put it on the sidewalk with chalk available for anyone to write what they want except you don't want anyone talking about grapes because you hate grapes. Then one day someone comes along and writes a bunch of stuff about how great grapes are. You decide to erase it because it's your chalkboard and if they don't like it they can go buy their own chalkboard and write on that. Same thing.

Not when the government FUNDED twitter infrastructure and they have special rules where they can't be sued because they claimed to be the public forum.

Meh, same story, different type of sidewalk. Having your tweets deleted is not a violation of 1st amendment rights because you can create your own blog on Wordpress.com for free and post all the ridiculous crap you want.

Wordpress.com isn't the world's public forum. Like I said, they benefitted from government because they said it'd be for all.

Facebook isn't exactly the world's public forum if someone only has so many friends. Or if they're trying to comment on someone else's page that person can always delete their post and the entire thread if they wanted to before Zuck even finds out. Same with Twitter. Wordpress, btw, can have a global reach if the person running the site knows how to generate the traffic.

FB is declining but twitter is the world's public square. Nothing is close.

Yep, a lot of corporations get government funding and then run things the way they want to. Of course if someone feels discriminated against they can always file a lawsuit.

No, they CAN'T sue twitter, that's my point. They have special protections. THAT'S my problem.

Funny tho, I'm sure Bolshevik Russia must have burned books. They certainly did churches with priests insides. But you never hear of it.
