Because America is still better than a Warzone or ya know poverty? if given the choice between lets say Cuba or the US, Id take the US in a heartbeat. However if given the Choice between the US and lets say Canada or Italy, Id take Italy or Canada.

America is at the bottome of the Barrel Quality of Life wise, but its in a whole other barrel than countries like Sudan or Brazil.

Eh. As far as I know America isn't Helping Germany and infact relations over the past few years have deterioated thanks to the Isolationist policy of the Trump Admin. Though I do belive there is a moral obligation for the EU to help its Allies, especially when your Government is doing so little to help their own.

There were people complaining that their daughters that they sent to w**re themselves out near the military bases wouldn't be sending them bucks home anymore! Same thing happened in Puerto Rico with Vieques, the people were shocked when the local economy tanked once they closed that base like they hollered for for years.

I do belive the US shouldn't interfere directly, this does not mean that the US should completley retire from the Global stage. Besides Diplomatic relations with the EU and US interference are two issue that, while connected, are still seperate

at this time, you are probably right, but as you stated, Germany doesnt need help and the US does,I know since WW2 the US has helped Germany at different times..

The US has been giving aid to some of the less self sufficient countries of the EU though.

Europe sucked it's thumb during the Balkan conflicts of the 1990s, waiting for America to do something while the Euros watched women getting raped and males 12 and up forced to dig a ditch so they can then be shot en masse into them. THEY STOOD BY AND WATCHED.

Well honestly we are in NATO together so tough luck I suppose, besides the EU has the same principles as NATO and we do have the French Nuclear arsenal, so MAD would still go.

An intresting Alternative History Scenario. Luckly it did not go down as such. To be honest, it is thanks to American Military Might that we have such a great Quality of Life here in Europe, or atleast Western Europe. However, I still do not belive that Military Might is more important than Quality of Life. Id much rather live well and rely on NATO than poor but have a Strong Military
