Erm...the Kennedy Center didn’t fail to open. It’s cancelling all of its in-person shows because there’s a pandemic happening. It’s still running its outreach programs and other initiatives that don’t require in-person interaction, and the bills for the building itself do still have to be paid. Also there is work to be done to prepare for when this thing is over. So...there. That’s where it’s going.
