"And in a major new development, Judicial Watch announced in January that we found at least another 2.5 million extra names on voter rolls across the country. A Judicial Watch analysis of data released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission found that there are 378 counties in the U.S. that have more voter registrations than citizens old enough to vote. The 378 counties had a combined 2.5 million extra registrants over the 100%-registered mark. We’ve notified 19 counties in five states—California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Colorado, and Virginia—that we intended to sue unless they take steps to clean up their voter rolls. Stay tuned."
The integrity and accuracy of all voter rolls should be paramount.
You like many would like to pretend it is one side against the other.
With the left saying it doesn't exist and the right saying it does and the left when it says it exists blames the right etc.
The reality of all voting is that it is something only citizens should have a right to do.
Dead people shouldn't be voting twice and ultimately only a database of registered voters need be kept which does not need you to register a party affiliation against your name.
Once you have registered once, you should always be on the rolls until death.
As to the question of compulsory voting as opposed to the present, well maybe thats open to discussion but probably the present system should be retained even though if you made it compulsory then no one can complain too much about the outcomes.
For when you move house then with the internet simpler system for changing your registered address or a mail in system should be all that's required.
And you should be made to produce I.D when entering a voting station. With your name checked off the localised rolls. If registered out of state and not in your home state then the ability for your vote to be taken should be offered with such completed ballots being expedited to the relevant state or a local system in place to count and tally these votes with transmission of results given to relevant state.
Anyways, I can go on but the system could do with some tweaks which would remove almost any doubts in minds as to whether tampering with the system is happening.
