Good question, I'll be honest. I was bored when I first joined imgflip and then...IDK

I joined imgflip so I could beat my brother at making memes cause I said I would be better at it than him. I also wanted to make memes that I had ideas for so that worked out. For me it's more of a hobby but I've used it as an emotional outlet a couple times.

Both for me...and sometimes boredom...but while bored, you have options, so if you choose to do this out of boredom, you have to have other reasons, such as: entertainment, the best medicine is laughter, emotional outlet, creativity outlet, to stimulate creativity, cuz when you're stoned it seems like fun, fun while sober, trolling, loneliness, to use in office emails, etc.
