Nobody wants to work for the wages these jobs pay, anymore, because the wages have plummeted. Now Indians are being mass imported to drive the tech wages down. White kids are all told they need to go to college and encouraged to look down on blue-collar workers by their snotty, snooty, snobby Marxist teachers who have never touched a tool in their lives, just so they won't stand in the way of this "great leap forward" they're pushing in the US. These Marxists aren't importing hedge fund managers, CEOs, and movie directors, to compete with THEIR jobs. They're importing competition for everybody else's job, so they can get everything cheaper while they make all the money. There used to be comfortable incomes in hard work, but now the only good paying jobs are based entirely on belonging to the right tribe and being welcomed into the network of people who are allowed to become wealthy. Working hard to achieve a good life is damn near impossible anymore, because of the manipulation of supply and demand for YOUR job, but not THEIRS. And your cherry-picked example doesn't disprove the overwhelming statistics that immigrants - especially latino - are 70+% on welfare. I know a woman who's 6'2", but I wouldn't suggest we start making all women's clothes based on that example.

Capitalism means maximizing profits. Capitalism has no concept of morality. That’s why all the Companies shipped off to China leaving wal-mart as this nations number one employer. I believe people should be paid a livable wage, even a wal- mart employee, but that won’t happen. The rich don’t care , look at Amazon, Bezos worth 60 billion and pays shit wages. He could pay a livable wage but won’t. Not everyone can go to college, but if you don’t, the best you can achieve today is construction, trucking, or the trades. As a side note: My co-worker from Honduras makes $35.00 an hour as a plumber apprentice , he’s worth every penny . He’s also working hard on taking classes to becoming a master plumber all this while maintaining a full time job . When he gets his license he’s going to make twice that amount, even more if he does side jobs. I sent my son to college he used to work side jobs with me as a grunt he graduated with a degree in computer science and is doing well. Life is what you make it. But without an education, it’s going to be hard without the rich being forced to pay workers a realistic wage
