I underwent training as in what was called "Psychological First Aid"; its where you enter into ground zero of a disaster area, or meet someone who've experienced a traumatci event and try to help them as best you can by being there, listening, and if you detect certain signs that needs professional intervention, you refer them to the professionals.
As time goes on, when you hear of so much tragedy it could have a profound effect on you. When you become affected, you need to take time off. Or when you're feeing you're getting burnt out, you need to do the same. And when it comes to your family, you need to put them first.
