You know that if you watch Trump's briefings complete and unedited, he's still talking nonsense?

MSNBC Just Admitted: "Our Job Is To Control Exactly What People Think" | image tagged in fake news, msnbc, rachel maddow | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
He tells the truth that is why MSNBC and CNN cut away from his briefs. There viewership keeps falling. Fox Keeps Rising. Whn You are so Fake News that you have to cut away from a brief to keep your sheeple from all runing away from your networks your news no longer is valid.

His knowledge about everything is under par and you only call it truth because you yourself don't know any better.

Change My Mind Meme | If you actually watched his briefings you would know it's just Trump talking | image tagged in memes, change my mind | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Fauci, Brix etc...it's obvious you don't watch them.

What do you think your point is? Trump's press briefings - a crucial aspect of his job - are waffling, vapid, off-the-cuff rambles peppered with unfounded assertions of what a great job he's doing (which is exactly what the press briefings are trying to determine; show, don't tell) and what a poor job everyone else is doing (not really what these press briefings are about even if true) and your response is that's just the way he talks? What are you trying to convince me of exactly?

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'm pointing out it's obvious you don't watch the briefings. Rather you watch the liberal Media's reactions to the briefings and whatever highlights they play for you.

In reality, since his briefings started Trump's favorability rating has gone up while his unfavorability rating has gone down. Clearly, voters support his message that comes from these daily briefings.

Oh, my absolute favorite kind of imgflip bullshit - when someone tells me that Trump's ratings have gone up when I check them every day and I know for a fact that they are just as anemic as ever.

Y'all need to learn: I'm not going to ignore the evidence of my own eyes and ears!

No more talking for the MORON...from Gallup...its clear the approve/disapprove lines have converged, which bucks the trend that has been constant through his term

You can't eve read the trend in your own graph..it clearly shows since 2020 started that Trump's approval has INCREASED (the black line) and the disapproval (the red line) has DECREASED...are really incapable of drawing a trend line? Or is just that some more of your "favorite kinda bullshit"?

At the New Year it was 44.5 and then at the end of March it was 44, so... no?
2 ups, 5y
So you can't draw a trend line....got it...your graph shows at 2020 its near 44, then hits a high point in MARCH near 48, then 46 in APRIL...that is INCREASING TREND LINE..

Or, people are more likely to put faith in a leader, even if the leader is self-serving and barely coherent, during a crisis.

Or he is just actually doing a good job

Hah! Only technically, I mean, so is anyone in charge of boy scouts or at the front of a conga line.

To be honest, I think the people in both those examples are likely making more of an effort (read, any) to look out for the welfare of others.

Right, its exactly like that. Over seeing the largest economy on earth and the world's third largest country by population is totally like "leading a conga line".

Brilliant.
2 ups, 5y
"Do you think anyone has told him it's also about looking after the population and not just the economy?"

No not all. No one has told him this...thats why he has supported the stay at home orders, until recently, because he only cares about the economy and not the people...yeah..just more brilliant analysis from JR

I said I think both the people in those examples would make more of an effort to look out for the welfare of others.

'Over seeing the largest economy on earth and the world's third largest country by population'

Do you think anyone has told him it's also about looking after the population and not just the economy?

If they haven't, I can't help thinking now might be a good time to mention it...

'Until recently.'

Exactly!

Thank you.

Man, you really are not smart. Yes, and it makes sense. The USA, outside of New York doesn't have a crisis related to Coronavirus. We do however have an economic crisis, and putting people back to work is what solves it.
0 ups, 5y
So, you're saying that there isn't a crisis outside of NY, that strongly suggests that social distancing is responsible, despite this you think Trump is right to end it?

No I'm not saying that. In fact, it's interesting you bring this up. New York has by far the largest amount of cases. It's not even close, something like 7,500 cases per million. New York started stay at home orders two days after California did, and California has 10x less cases per million and far less cases period, even though California has 18million more people.

So what you would be saying is because new York waited two days longer than California did to start stay at home orders, that's why they have the problem they have? That doesn't pass the smell test given the virus has a delay of more than 5 days for symptoms to show.

Then the rest of the country doesn't need to remain shutdown

'So what you would be saying is because new York waited two days longer than California did to start stay at home orders, that's why they have the problem they have?'

No, I'm not, there are other variables, significantly more infected people travelled to New York, many from Europe (including at least one 'super spreader' ) than did to California.

Each of those people would've set off a chain of transmission.
It can take two weeks for people to have symptoms and know that they are contagious and need to be isolated.

That's obviously going to have made a significant difference.
