Although, when the 9 highest justices in the land, who were appointed by Presidents of both parties and confirmed by the Senate over a period of decades, and who frequently disagree sharply on other things, all think the same thing about this, it does lend it additional weight.

What it does show unequivocally is that a total abortion ban is never going to happen any time soon

But perhaps they have simply never heard that "abortion is murder," once they hear those 3 words I'm confident they'll be bowled over by that perfect logic and change their minds

This is what I wrote above. I never said it was correct. I just stated SCOTUS's views and asked if that made them Leftists. Same with the Gallop polling of average Americans' views. I'm making a political science argument, not a moral one

I could make the moral one, too, and I have several times already on ImgFlip.

But the implicit topic of the day, for this meme and this stream (and my own) is this: "What is a Leftist?"

I do not know anywhere where it says Kavanaugh, Thomas, or John Roberts supported Roe (I am not very familiar with the others). One that supports the ideology of killing an unborn baby is a leftist and if any of these conservatives support that belief, then they too are leftists. If this is true, were they supporting his beliefs or his ethics (Although, Roes' ethics were not the greatest in retrospect).

Exactly, finding their half-truths and lies is the best way to expose the leftist mindset. The corrupt liberal lives off of lies and can only survive through means of dividing and lying. This is the only way to legalize dangerous policies and use it for their benefit.

The GOP uses abortion as a wedge issue to get votes of social conservatives, but they will never ban it entirely.

Supreme Court precedent and American public opinion prevent them from doing so in practical terms. If abortion were ever banned, there’d be a political backlash like you wouldn’t believe.

So call it Leftism if you’d like, but if so, recognize that you’re calling roughly 4/5 Americans Leftists.

Kylie, we gave the government too much power. THAT is why Americans can't ban abortions entirely. Taking away abortions would be taking away the politicians' power. I do not believe that the mass of America is leftists. The reason being that the ideas like abortion are constantly being shot down and the government has to step in to keep things under THEIR control.

This actually has it exactly backwards; *banning* abortion is what would represent a dramatic expansion of government power.

If you think the fetus is a child, yes.

It’s a complex moral question, but I think Roe v. Wade strikes the right balance.

Which stated plainly is this:

1st trimester: Abortion is a decision left to the doctor and mother only.
2nd trimester: States can regulate abortion to protect the health of the mother.
3rd trimester: States can regulate, restrict, and even ban abortion in the interests of preserving fetal life.

I can agree with the second trimester under the circumstances that the mother could die. Even then, there should be options laid out. I believe the fetus is a child, so I believe that it is my responsibility to defend the rights of the unborn.
