I did read about that, and I understand where you are going with this. On the scientific side, we've seen this before, it isn't new, and we shouldn't freak out. But on a different front, this disease is totally strange to some people and they're scared. Over 10,000 people have died from the Coronavirus in the US. Those aren't just numbers, they are people with families who loved them and lives that could have impacted the world if the hadn't been contracted with the disease. Maybe some people do not have access to good food and the privilege of clean air and uncontaminated water. In China, they don't have good air quality or unpolluted water which is why the disease spread so fast. But that doesn't mean we prepare for the end of the world, but we should be a little more careful with our resources from now on and, as you said earlier, take the general precautions as we would for the flu.
