Ace Ventura | YOUR BIAS IS SHOWING, AGAIN BUMBLE BEE TUNA | image tagged in ace ventura | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
KylieFan 2 weeks ago: Republicans are not voting for Coronavirus relief over politics. They are bad and evil.

KylieFan earlier this week: Its only politics that Democrats are not voting for bipartisan Senate bill.

KylieFan today: I want a record of all the Republicans dumb enough to vote against this bill.

Just shut the f**k up already. Your credibility on the issue was destroyed by your own wanton disregard for intellectual honesty.

Do you support this stimulus bill like the vast majority of the country?

Or do you oppose it, like like the poor Rep. Massie (R), who is now without doubt in strong contention for Most Hated Congressperson of the Year 2020 thanks to his principled libertarian antics the past couple days

I don't expect an answer: But assuming you *don't* support this $2.2 trillion package because it's a "massive expansion of government" or whatever, recognize how far outside the mainstream that puts you and how comfortably within the mainstream that makes folks like me

"KylieFan earlier this week: Its only politics that Democrats are not voting for bipartisan Senate bill."

Here's where your reasoning breaks down. What actually happened was Senate Democrats successfully negotiated to make the GOP's proposed bill better, particularly regarding oversight for the $500 billion proposed relief fund for corporations. When they did, it passed the Senate with unanimous support. Prior to this negotiation process, what you are incorrectly describing as a "bipartisan Senate bill" was actually a GOP bill written with no Democratic input.

I have reserved my criticism only for those who refuse to support these bipartisan relief bills in their final form.

Last time, it was 40 House Republicans. This time, I expect fewer Republicans to oppose it (since the entire country is craving this relief now), but there will still be some. It's a function of their radical beliefs that government can never be part of the solution, only the problem.

BAHAHAHAHHAHA....

Guy, your bias is out of control "What actually happened was Senate Democrats successfully negotiated to make the GOP's proposed bill better"

Once again we see rampant intellectual dishonesty...When republicans merely want to READ THE BILL they are "dangerous" and "hate americans". When Democrats try to pork the bill with billions in unrelated wishlist item's that is "just politics". Then when they actually negotiate points to the BILL, not pork, its because they are making it better.

You accusing someone of "their reasoning breaking down" is most laughable thing I have read. You have presented ZERO consistent thought on the issue. You have wafted like a feather in the wind responding to changes in the winds direction from Democrat flatulence.

You are a massive joke.

Last time, some GOP lawmakers objected to the relief bill because of the timeline. However, others voted against it because they substantively disagreed with certain provisions.

https://thehill.com/changing-america/respect/diversity-inclusion/488213-gop-lawmaker-voted-against-coronavirus-bill

(The Hill! A conservative source!)

But Trump told the GOP to support the bill, and in the end, the majority of Republicans did as well. Because the approval for the bill was overwhelming, there was no need to delay further just to satisfy the concerns of a few dissenters.

Anyway: This time, the Senate passed the bill on Wednesday. The "We only wanted to read it!" excuse does not hold water this time. Lawmakers have had ample time to read it, and multiple news outlets have summarized the key points.

The vast majority of the House wants to pass it by voice vote. But apparently a sole dissenting Congressman has the power to force a recorded vote, and Rep. Massie is doing just that despite being whipped up and down and even tweeted at by the President. Many lawmakers are today having to fly back to D.C. just for this purpose.

So while I feel for these lawmakers, the silver lining is we will see which Congressmen vote against it. And I predict it will once again only be a small hardcore group of Republicans.

"However, others voted against it because they substantively disagreed with certain provisions."

YES...They had the temerity to challenge the actual Bill on its own language. What a novel idea, unlike Democrats who then went on a pork stuffing spree, which you defended.

"(The Hill! A conservative source!)"

You are seriously stupid. You claim that, then went on to post an article from A LIBERAL WRITER. The Hill is actually pretty middle of the road, offering a platform to voices from both the left and right.

The author is a liberal hack. She even wrote one piece alleging it was Trump's fault that a man died from Trump mentioning chloroquine as a possible treatment for COVID-19.

"The vast majority of the House wants to pass it by voice vote. But apparently a sole dissenting Congressman has the power to force a recorded vote, and Rep. Massie is doing just that despite being whipped up and down and even tweeted at by the President. "

More intellectual dishonesty. AOC has threatened the exact same thing. "Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the high-profile freshman from New York, is leaving open the option of forcing House members to return to Washington to cast a vote on the $2 trillion stimulus package barreling through Congress."

I'm no AOC defender. In the end, she didn't go through with these threats, though. As even GOP lawmakers conceded: Today's drama was "the Massie show."

Apparently, he couldn't find a second to support him, and the bill passed by voice vote anyway.

Bahahaha.... AOC made the same threat, wanted the same thing. I'm not defending Maddie, I'm pointing your inconsistent stance again.

I swear this is who you really are.

You have the exact same issues around intellectual honesty. She condemns Senate republicans for voting to pass the Coronavirus Relief Bill, then says nothing about Senate Democrats that voted for the SAME BILL...and it was every Democrat in the Senate

Back to the First Coronavirus Relief Bill: Those 40 House Republicans who voted against? They were actually joined by 8 GOP Senators later

Somehow I missed that

Did these 8 Senators who voted on a bill Wednesday after the Saturday it passed the House also "not have time to read it"?

I don't know why they voted against it. The article doesn't expound on their motives.

But again you are skirting my point. Which is your inconsistency. You only decry one party, you are not really concerned with actions but only who takes the actions. Thats why you continue to be turned into a pretzel in this debates. If you just stood against an action and didn't change your opinion of the action based on who is acting, you could avoid this issue.

I supported both relief bills. I don’t see what the issue is.

I didn’t get distracted by side issues like some folks did.

LOL....where are we discussing YOUR SUPPORT for the bills?

We are discussing your inconsistent analysis.

Update: Rep. Massie's attempt at forcing a recorded vote failed, and the bill passed by voice vote. Drats.

But good for the American people that this legislation passed, which is what really matters.
