You do know that the stock market is not just a playground for rich businessmen, but also a sort of heart monitor for the economy, if the stock market flat-lines people will die, a lot of them, people will loose jobs, loose homes, and burden the already struggling system to prevent them from dying, and what happens after the end of the outbreak, a massive recession. Mull on that a bit.

True enough. But keep in mind, the stock market is nothing more than an artificial construct--and a spineless one, at that. The satirical (but barely) headline STOCK MARKET PLUNGES ON NEWS OF STOCK MARKET PLUNGING comes to mind.

It being artificial does not mean it's not real, heart monitor is also artificial, but it is still monitoring your heartbeat, if it flatlines you won't be fine just because it's artificial.

The difference, of course, is that your heartbeat is natural; money markets are a human invention. They don't reflect human reality, they reflect human *attitude*--and attitude can be corrected.
