1. China has a population 400% greater than the US. That's FOUR USA's OVER. They're like the USSR, developmentally backward in some places but advancing rapidly (Shanghai alone is like New York except bigger) and with a still kick-ass military reckoned by brute force, and could messily physically occupy us no matter how many nukes we have, though they're not nearly that stupid;
2. They have stolen - and independently advanced - our technology for decades. If they wanted to loose devastating cyberwarfare, Covid-19 would look like a Sunday School picnic;
3. They own TEN TRILLION DOLLARS OF OUR DEBT and could economically kick our balls in without so much as touching a single military device;
4. They have been able to retaliatorily nuke us back, if we were ever that stupid, and turn us to glass too, for OVER HALF A CENTURY;
