So Bloomberg Financial reports that Chinese Industry is back to 85% capacity as of march 13th. So plenty of polution up and running.
But also lots of sulphur dioxide in the air from all the bodies they have been burning so they got that going for them. And we got plenty of unregulated polluters back online generally in China so the world is almost back to normal.

The sudden drop in carbon emissions is an interesting aspect of this coronavirus panic | A GREEN LINING TO THIS TERRIBLE MESS | image tagged in globe eco, green, economy, climate change, global warming, carbon footprint | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Over the past three weeks, China’s CO2 emissions are down 25 percent over the same period last year.

Meanwhile businesses and individuals have adjusted to new routines quite quickly: reducing unnecessary business travel, telecommunting, etc.

Coronavirus is not the best reason to be doing all of this, and the sudden hit to the world economy is painful.

However, all of this does show that we are capable of remarkable reductions of our carbon footprint if we treat climate change as the emergency that it is.

That's true!

A lot of that is because industry is shutting down and moving overseas though... which doesn't help our economy or the planet

We have to take much larger steps to make a real dent in this issue because overall, global CO2 emissions are still rising year after year

More unfounded nonsense to explain away an inconvenient fact. If your claim was true, this would show up in GDP. It doesn't

What I’m describing has been going on for decades. I’m not talking the last year or two — most of those reductions were from declining coal usage
