In real life, no one got a tax cut under Trump. Most people from upper middle income to very rich people got drastic tax increases.

I don’t think less taxes was ever his platform. It was only less tax for low income workers—which they got. He specifically said he would eliminate certain tax benefits like the federal deduction for property taxes that benefitted people in expensive states with very high property taxes (like where I live).

Yes less tax for low income workers, but they had to be workers. That means they lose free handouts from not working, but get better taxes if they actually work. This got lots of people who usually vote democrat working. This is why, IMO, Trump will win by a landslide. Most traditionally democrat populations will never publicly admit to voting for trump.

Not the lazy seniors. The lazy everyone under 65’s. In a state like New Jersey, almost anyone who makes less than $90,000 per year IS ON MEDICAID!!! That is a disgrace!!! Medicaid is for poor people. You can’t get Medicaid if you have $3,000 I’m the bank — so for a person making $90,000 a year the only way they keep their Medicaid is to never save any money. That is a horrible abuse of a program designed for people who are living in poverty!

Social Security isn’t going anywhere. It’s really the Social Security disability system that is the problem, since the number of people getting it exploded in recent years.

Almost 5x more people get disability now than in 1975. But the rate has gone up so much it equals more than 5x.

When they talk about SS and Medicaid, they really mean the disability system.

Yes, I will concede that long lives has a lot to do with it. Another thing is people do work more years now.

After some basic research I'm pretty sure whatever people making anywhere near 90k per year while on Medicaid are committing fraud. (which apparently is an issue there due to understaffing..)

A family of 4 gets it at 90,000 for their kids in NJ. So any couple with 2 kids or any single person with 3 kids who makes $90,000 gets it for their kids. No one making that much should get Medicaid. But they do. Sorry, I’m not an expert on Medicaid eligibility and I don’t live in NJ
