When your politics stream meme that received 1 upvote and dozens of comments was an unqualified success | I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU, EVERYONE, FOR PARTICIPATING | image tagged in kylie fan art, imgflip humor, politics lol,the daily struggle imgflip edition, first world imgflip problems, mean while on imgflip | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
This has been another KylieFan production

We carve out spaces of weirdness, delirium, and — every now and again, hopefully — delight out of the daily gloom and doom of the politics stream

But it would not be possible without you

I thank you all

I bet you have a Kylie Minogue hand-puppet that you are very fond of

I'm sure he calls it an "action figure", and I doubt it's his hand that gets inserted.

you do realize that "fan" is short for "fanatic", right?
0 ups, 5y,
2 replies
That is indeed the mainstream view

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_(person)

However, there are other accounts of the word “fan” deriving from the act of “fancying” something, or even from the hand fans that well-dressed ladies and gentlemen would carry to baseball games to counteract the scorching heat

Etymology is cash money

Let’s ask SpursFanFromAround for a second opinion

Whatever...the fact remains. You are a fanatic.
Etymology is now a rap music record label??

Yeeaahhh... I'm not one of the tragically-hip.
I was referring to the rap record label with the same name, homie

Being there in the UK when 'The Cure debuted as a Goth music band' in 1976, an expert on that Rock the Kasbah Cyndi Lauper Punk Rock & Roll rubbish that sounds like Oi, now this?
Pal, stick to your Beatles on Ed Sullivan when you were well into your 20s. At least you won't mutilate your fake hipness jabbering that badly with that.

Good gosh, man, merrydumpster is a total buffon, but you really don't know what a fan is even after posting thre definition yourself?
HINT: It isn't like fancying a cuppa tea right now. (That's a Britishism for those looking it up)

yeeaahhh... I'm not British, you "Buffon"
And I know the comment was directed to KF_89, but I have to correct your misinformation that you spread everywhere you fling your monkey-shit. I never claimed to " be there" in bloody West Sussex. So, you can stop with the BS. You know what I meant.
Here is another "Britishism" for you, mate...Piss off, you bloody wanker

There's your Alzheimer's kicking in again.

YOUR words, geezer, not mine.

btw, you weren't just missing a space, you were missing punctuation as well, amongst other things. Perhaps a bit too distracted by your 'manly man' fap collection?

Context, Gramps, context. You forget that back when that was posted, I thought you were about 22 y.o.
I was stating, based on your age, that you weren't even born back in '78. I was listening to the Cure is what I meant, and you know it.
The whole truth is you outed yourself to being an old fart in your fatuous response ( as you conveniently left out). Remember, I can do math, Gramps.

You can go back to being a grammar Nazi, you fraud.

Whether you 'thought' I was 22 or 122 doesn't change what you said about YOU.
YOU said YOU were there, and I assure you, sadly, I was not.

Sorry, you befuddled old fool, you don't get to try to play senior then pretend the reverse because I rubbed my nuts on your stupid face.
Besides, I "Googled" the records that I mailordered according to you, remember?

- oh, that's right, you don't.

"I'm not BritishI"?

"I never claimed to " be there" "?

Literally posted both these comments one immediately after the other.

Oh, the irony.

I missed a space. That is the letter "I" as in " I have to correct your..."
You keep twisting what people say in your feeble rebuttals. Now run along Grampa and don't forget to take your meds and put on a fresh Depends, you miserable pass of gas...

Madonna was successful and talented though.

That said: Kylie’s quietly put together a body of work that rivals the Queen of Pop’s, and she remains internationally renowned after 30+ years in the music biz. Never quite as successful in the U.S., who knows why. Americans are weird.

While we’re at it, who else is up there in terms of female pop legends?

—Cher: 26 studio albums
—Celine Dion: 27 studio albums
—Barbara Streisand: 36 studio albums (holy moly!)

*Honorable mention to singers who have sold as many (or more) units with fewer total studio albums to their name: Whitney Houston, Adele, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande.

Not always to my tastes, but credit where credit is due. I ain’t no hater

so, you have evolved into a full-blown progressive libtard?
0 ups, 5y
Pretty much

Libertarianism advocates certain policies I agree with, but it attracts a wide spectrum of political crazies. I have overall come to regard it as a philosophy for selfish assholes and children. The Libertarian Party itself is a hopelessly internally divided trainwreck that does not compete nationally or even locally, and it has no business doing so.

The GOP under Trump has shown itself to be fueled primarily by reaction, hate, racism, sexism, and the like. It stands for stagnation, no-nothingism and the steady erosion of our constitutional republic, and is not truly committed to the core principles that once made it attractive to me. (I voted McCain in ‘08)

That leaves me with the Democrats: and while I guess have a slight preference for Bernie at this point, I am by no means a hardcore Leftist, Bernie-or-die guy.

But all of that seems to place me firmly on the extreme Left of the ImgFlip spectrum
