"Stop being" are two extra syllables that don't fit. Scansion is not a subjective process. Why are you taking this fight?

Vaga, say the line again and just omit "stop being" so that it's just "never gonna president".
Can you hear the difference? It goes over the original beat.
Adding two extra beats in a 4/4 song is going to get you dirty looks from good musicians and other musicians will just straight up walk out.
Bon Jovi and Meat Loaf could handle putting in six million syllables into each line, but a) this isn't how they did it and b) it was entirely unnecessary in both cases.
