A corona's primary meaning is the the layer surrounding a sun, just like there's an air layer around earth. Normally the corona surrounding our sun is only visible from earth during eclipses, and that's why you see the ring of fire here.... So you answer is not wrong, this is an eclipse, and that eclipse makes the corona visible in the form of a ring of fire (although "fire" is not entirely the right word here).
