Are you suggesting that the best way to change a system isn't from the inside?

Mr Monopoly and a college professor, those two seem equal to you?
Seriously?

Ok since you need things spelling out:

Mr monopoly man is a capitalist from all conceivable angles. His earnings, expenditures and contributions to society are entirely reflective of being a capitalist. If however Mr monopoly man said to a bunch of people 'capitalism is evilzzz' and continued his life as it was, he would be behaving exactly as the college professor does.
I e/ the college professor is no less a capitalist than the monopoly man is

You have actually argued my point for me in your description.
Like you said, Mr Monopoly is a capitalist from all conceivable angles.

Someone working in the education system is there to impact the system, not because it's going to make them rich.
To have any influence over the attitudes of the youth within that system, they have to be present there.
If he's only interested in the money, there are plenty of easier jobs that pay more.

It doesn't make someone a hypocrite to be forced to rely on a system that they disagree with.

It's naive and idealistic to suggest otherwise.

It doesn't argue your point at all on the grounds that he's keeping his paycheck and typically charging his students for the study material --in many relevant cases the study material is their own book.
Distribution of wealth doesn't happen with professors anymore than it does with doctors, property developers or car salesman.. only difference is that only one us saying the system shouldn't be here whilst profiting no less from it their entire lives.

It does indeed make someone a hypocrite. It's like an anarchist taking universal healthcare and welfare on the grounds that 'welp the gubmint took mah money so I guess I may aswell'..
It doesn't make you an anarchist living with obligates technicalities, it makes you exactly like everyone else whilst trying to rationalise that you're not.
