It's not that they truly believe it will spread out of control, or that they actually care about the American public's health... unless it can bring them votes.

To easily prove they don't care about the public, compare how they treated president Obama when we had the H1N1 virus scare. You couldn't get them to say anything! It was 180 degrees opposite of how they're treating Trump now. Hypocrisy much, progressive snowflakes?

So this is nothing more than the latest in the long line of fake issues they're trying to use to take down Trump.

And since people seem to have trouble understanding that concept, let me be very specific. It's not the coronavirus that is fake; nobody has said that! It's the left's weaponization of it, making it seem worse than it is, so they can attempt to portray Trump as either too ignorant or incompetent to handle it... all of that is what's fake.

The net result is they're causing near hysteria for nothing other than their own political gain. So as usual, their hatred for Trump is 'trumping' any love they may have had (or possibly still have) for America.
