Well... Either you get it or you don't. But panic never achieved anything. As long as you're not extremely stupid or looking to get infected there's no reason to believe you're gonna be in any more danger than everybody else.

I am more worried about the hysteria around Corona than the virus itself. Even dentists and surgeons may soon not have a mouth cover and then a treatment/operation cannot take place, and that is dangerous. I underwent surgery last year, and I am glad it was last year and not this year. I did decide I would not participate in the hysteria. Of course I am worried, but I am not in fear. I've also always shown high resistance in general to diseases, but even when this would be my final year thanks to Corona, as long as I don't know, living in fear would be a waste of my final year. Doctors and the WHO are working hard, and all I can do is trust in that.

Well, I had swine flu when it hit everywhere. Everybody panicked there too, but I survived that without many problems. 🤷

This actually reminds me of the AIDS hysteria. Some people didn't even dare to shake hands with AIDS patients. Of course AIDS would back then guarantee your death (not anymore,but back then yes), but it did take a lot of time before people got the message that as long as you don't have sex with them, no danger at all. And even some couples married for 40 years were wondering if they could still have sex together.... How well do you trust your husband/wife? And I can sum up more cases here.... And although corona is a different kind of virus, the stupidity is the same, causing people to take measures that would help and will only cause bigger damage in the greater run, and also to racist actions towards Asian folks etc etc etc....

(Now I have also found a few memes here that strongly imply that corona is a hoax... I guess that's also pretty stupid).

Yeah, anything is blown out of proportion it seems... I suggest that you don't read the questions people ask about COVID-19 online if you don't want to completely lose faith in humanity... Some people apparently are worried about getting the virus from eating Chinese food. 🙄

Chinese food, made by cooks who were not in China made from ingredients purchased locally I guess. I actually saw it coming. I guess I'd wonder too whether or not I can safely eat spaghetti, which I cooked myself from ingredients bought at the local supermarket, since Italy has been covered in Corona... Hey, this week I traveled through the North of Italy through Google Street View... NOW I'm in danger, aren't I? Stay away from me, don't talk to me over the internet, you'd get yourself contaminated....

I guess I pretty well summed things up, or was I still overstating (I hope the latter, but I fear the former) 🤣

And to make it worse, when you see a lot of questions like those, you'd easily oversee the serious questions.

Bruh not to be rude but that is the last thing on my concern. All of my family on my dad's side lives in Wuhan or the suburbs. All my family except for my mom,dad,me and my brother are in China

Covid-19 won't kill anyone but people with very weak immune systems and elderly people.You might catch it,but it's less lethal than the common flu

Just today we started doing temperature scans before being able to go inside the school.
Though, everyone still acted normal, so I think you should too.
But now that I think about it, why waste this golden chance to be able to avoid all kinds of human contact without being seen as a weirdo?

While the death toll of 3.4% from coronavirus is a bit worrisome, I'm not really afraid of the virus itself. What worries me is the fact that supply chains like food, water, and gasoline will be interrupted since truck drivers aren't going to want to go into a heavily infected zone. I did stock up on canned goods and water, enough to last a couple weeks. Worst case scenario, if I'm quarantined to my home, expect me to be on Imgflip all day and night.

If you live in the United States, your water is treated with fluoride, the stuff in toothpaste that kills germs. Even if someone put coronavirus in your town’s drinking water, the fluoride would most likely kill it or it would be so diluted that it really wouldn’t do anything. I would worry more about washing your hands frequently and not getting coughed or sneezed on as that’s how it’s usually spread.

Chances are even if you do come down with it, you won't die. The death rate is at 3.4%. While much higher than the flu, it's still a less than 1 in 25 odds that you would die if you catch the virus. And the people most likely to die from it are the very young and the very old. Hope that makes you feel better?

another FYI there were sports cancel today because of coronavirus, i think there is chance of no school on friday or monday, thing are about to get ugly.
