What language is this? I'm only asking because I'm curious.

It's Phantasarean, and artificial language I created myself for my fantasy novels "The Phantasar Chronicles". It's a language featuring not only its own words, but also it's own spelling rules, pronunciation rules and even its own grammar rules.

I actually looked it up. I didn't know that you made books until now (I'm actually impressed, you're the 1st user I know that made fantasy novels).

Thanks... I'm trying to find ways to broaden by audience. A good English translation could be a good start. The reason why I don't wanna do those translations myself is... Speaking English so native speakers understand me is not that hard, but telling a story in English, is a different manner, and then I'll always be a Dutch with a fair hand with the English language, but that's never good enough.

Did you try giving any story a twist?

Depends on how you define "twist" I think. However I am always looking to put in a few things you may not expect and makes you think I made a wild pull on the moment they are revealed, although when you read the story again, you may feel stupid as you will then see things making you realize you should have known all along, things were the way they were. I also focus a lot of character development. And I've even written a few books in which the "evil side" "wins", simply because in the real world there's also a lot of "evil" that goes unpunished, so the villain always meeting a bad fate is not realistic, even in a fantasy world. However is there are also stories of mine in which the villain DOES meet their punishment you can never tell if "good" is about to triumph over "evil" or vice versa. And even if the "evil" is punished does also not always mean the "heroes" live happily ever after. I mean, how "happy" can you be if you merely survived an attack by an evil dragon? Wouldn't you be traumatized? (Now in my novels the dragons are holy creatures who'd never attack human beings, unless they have a REALLY good reason for that, but I was just making a general hypothesis). And I'm not above making some statements in my work.... I guess many writers give their own views on the world in their work.... hahaha ;)

Well... I can read it... 🙈 But I haven't read enough to be able to create sentences myself. I'm not even sure I completely understand yet. 😅🙈

(Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am happy you say something good about this language. This language is not hard to learn and people asked me to create a YouTube channel for it. What do you think? Is that good or is that ridiculous?)

Don't worry.... I'll be kind.... I'll even be kind enough to tell you two things. "Tü" means "you" in informal form (similar to "Du" in German), and just like German all nouns start in uppercase.

That's the part I got. I have more problems with the "bokü dâl Tôlkys" and the "dyol Tôlky" parts... 🙈 Is the first "one fictionary language" and the second "fictional languages"? 🙈🙈🙈

I shall give you the translation:
"Can you speak and understand many languages?
Can you speak and understand this language too?"

"dâ" mean "the", which became 3rd case due to it being ... <what is "Lijdend voorwerp" in English?> and then the "l" is attached. "Dyo" means "this" and the l was attached for the same reason. (I guess in German that would be 4th case, but I used hey, this ain't German).

Phantasarean can be a bit strange in article usage. "bokü" means "many" or "much" and "dâ bokü Tôlkys" mean "The many languages" and "bokü dâ Tolkys" means "many languages", it depends a bit how you want to put the emphasis on things.

Knowing things, can you get a little what each word means now?

That makes more sense. 🙈 Thanks. 🙃

And, apparently, for me the answer is "no". 😅🙈

Tü = You
kân = can/be able to
sprâk = speak
y = and
ca = understand
bokü = many/much
Tôlky = language (s for plural)
ôkta = too/as well
dâ = the
dyo = this

And now you should also see there's a bit of a different structure in the grammar structure of this language compared to Dutch, German and English :)

Yeah, definitely looks like there are a few "latin" influences as well. Almost reminds me of Esperanto a bit. But to a European like me it's very easy to understand once you know a few words. And most of the words are already similar. It was as easy to understand for me as Dutch was at first. I could read it, I might not know all the words but I'd get the gist. Overall very enjoyable to read. 😁

Grâs (thank you). Hît bâe dîffy tê krê dyol Tôlky, tü nâ. (It's been hard to create this language, you know).

But you did it beautifully. 😊 I haven't even gotten to the point where I can form sentences. I only created the letters and enough words to create names for places as I hadn't gotten further than creating the map on that part of the world. I guess, now I have to post it in here, eh? 😅🙈 I'll look for it when I get home.

The language above will very likely not be translated by Google Translate. It's the Phantasar Common Language. You may call it "Phantasarean" if you please. I am a fantasy writer (although my stories are mostly written in Dutch, as that's my native language), and I've set this language up, and it's not just a simple replacements of words. It has its own spelling, pronunciation and grammar rules and even 6 cases. This language was an experimental project, but it's really becoming something now. It's heavily inspired on being a bit of a mixture of Germanic and Romanic languages, and also some of my own twists. I'll first make you attempt to interpret the sentences in the meme yourself. I will reveal the English translation later.
