No, they make the choice and the child suffers for it, not the mother. The mother gets to continue on living her life.

The child is not a fetus. It has been shown to feel pain. Ultra sounds are brilliant these days and show a lot.

Emotionally, yes. Many women suffer depression after aborting their baby. And some also suffer physical damage as well.

The fetus is not independent in that it is unlikely to survive outside the womb.

Late-term abortions are rare, in 2015 1.3% happened after 21 weeks, in those cases it is common for the fetus to be given pain relief or for their heart to be stopped chemically.

It doesn’t look at all like a dog, or a cat, or a cow. It looks very human to me. It has a heartbeat and brain activity. Abortions aren’t meant to be a form of birth control, they are intended to be medically necessary. Find yourself pregnant and don’t want that healthy baby? First, maybe you should have kept your legs shut. But after that there are thousands of couples who would pay all of your expenses just to adopt your unwanted baby.
