The Alamo is crucial part of not just Texas history but all of American history. The fact that it only really comes up when talking about Davy Crockett in any state besides Texas is terrible

Most people have heard of it, just don't know the true history of it. Especially anyone born after 2000 since many public schools stop teaching actual history.
History was my favorite subject. Seems important to remember our mistakes. I only went to the Alamo a few times. Washington on the Brazos was my favorite. Very few Texans, let alone Americans, know about it.
