This actually happened to me in 10th Grade in Spanish 1. At the end of the year they gave us an evaluation test and handed it out face down. The same test was also given at the end of Spanish 2 to check students' progress.
As the Spanish 1 teacher was handing out the graded papers she told me I had tied with another student for the highest grade, 70.
"Why did you leave off the 30 point question on the back?" ...
I had simply ASSUMED that since they were handed out face down they wouldn't have a question on the back ...
