There have definitely been times I've made a meme comment and then I'll want to redo either the image and/or the text portion after I post it.

To me, deleting my meme comment to change the image is not a big deal.

Having the ability to edit the comment text, one time within an hour of posting would be nice.

There are some ID numbers that get generated when a comment is added to an image page, those last the life of the comment. Not sure what it would take to change that system for revised comments.

Being able to edit comments more than once or editing comments older than an hour or so seems like it could be abused and tougher to moderate.

This is true. You have the ability to edit comments on YouTube and I’ve seen people completely change their comments so the replies don’t even make sense. Only having the ability to change it once within the hour is quite reasonable.

I am no computer guru, programming genius, or hacker, but could something simple like an asterisk be added to the generated comment ID number once an edit has occurred? Also have that asterisk auto generate after 60 minutes (or so) if no edit has occurred. Once the asterisk is in place then the edit option is no longer available.

Just my thoughts.....

Yeah, autocorrect is really annoying, so I turned it off.

This would be nice — the only potential downside I see would be if someone replies to someone’s comment and then the original comment maker edits theirs and calls the reply comment a lie

But I don’t think too many people would be motivated enough to do that
