I'm no hippie, but Burning Man is that one festival that just pops out at you.

Mardi Gras would be fun too!

Empire Day on Coruscant

Things so seldom live up to the hype. When I finally went to Mardi Gras, I learned that Bourbon Street in New Orleans stinks like urine and vomit. When I returned at a different time of year, it smelled the same.....disgusting - it smells like people just piss and vomit everywhere. Most big music festivals are segregated into the elite camps and the drug slums... Renaissance Faires were fun in the 80's and early 90's - but then people ruined it......people ruin everything.

Oktoberfest sounds fun - but I'm concerned that it's going to become an extremist target. The other attacks in Germany point this direction.
