Is Iowa turning into California?

Gawd, I hope not. Being from Iowa, I would assume there's far more to this. People in Iowa are generally well informed and reasonably educated, so they know that gender identity and sexual behavior are two completely different things. I'm not going to spend my time investigating this, but I would bet there's far more to this than the meme says.

Been there myself as well and I think for the most part, Iowa is as you say. What is so difficult about these things though is that it always comes down to one person or a handful of people to make the decision. Iowa's AG is a registered Democrat and has been there since 1995 (one of the longest, I think), so while the state may be more reasonably educated, the AG can do what he feels his party would rather do than what makes sense to Iowa voters. They should end his AG career next chance they get.

It looks to me like someone Californicated Iowa. That's where the guy was sentenced to 16 years in prison for tearing a rainbow flag off a church and burning it.
