After I posted this, I thought about how off track this exchange has been, at least from my perspective.
The point of my meme wasn't to re-argue president Obama's insulting and inaccurate speech from so long ago. We clearly have philosophical differences that won't change based on what the other says.
Although, I would like to make one final point from my perspective regarding what president Obama was doing, CLEARLY, which was saying that it was govt that made your business possible. It's govt that built the roads. It's govt that provided the infrastructure you guys are so clearly in love with. I could get behind that, if he hadn't been doing it by trying to downplay the incredible amount of hard work put in by those who build businesses. He never built a business, so how in the world would he have any concept, or first hand knowledge, or experience necessary to make such outrageous and clearly inaccurate statements?
But back to the point of the meme. The point was that AOC said something so similar to what president Obama had said, that it reminded me of it, and I wanted to point out that this attitude is why socialists like them, feel they can just take the hard earned money of others. After all, if you don't think a person can build a business without govt being primarily responsible, or earn a substantial amount of money without taking it from others, you'll have absolutely no problem taking it all away from them.
AOC's comments were particularly insulting. She uses RACE to make her points, without any concept of how her comments divide us. The reason Oprah is in the meme, is because AOC's comments mean that she feels Oprah didn't earn her billions of dollars, she took the money from brown, black and yellow peoples' hard work.
That's why the meme asks if AOC's comments only apply to white billionaires, because she certainly didn't qualify those idiotic comments, at least not that I heard. And if people like you and Vagabond feel the need to insult the hard work put in by the owners of minority owned businesses, and the owners themselves, as in the case of my wife and her business, go right ahead. You're only making yourself look ignorant.
