The dems didn't think they needed more witnesses in order to "overwhelmingly" impeach the Pres. Now they're standing in a room trying to fill 24 hours with all that evidence they say they have and coming up short. If they had enough to legitimately impeach, then it, if it's credible, should be enough for the trial. It's wasn't then, it isn't now, and they are trying to find ways to stretch this out. They know how the process works, but took a gamble on being able to turn 4 Republicans to their set of rules. Turns out, they're not in such a hurry after all, and the delay was just part of a botched plan. The public is tuning out.

As a matter of fact, there is already plenty of evidence to find Trump guilty of abuse of office and certainly obstruction of Congress.

But this is a matter of the highest national importance and that means putting ALL evidence on the table, now.

Historians will be piecing this Administration together long after we’re gone. Guilty or not, we don’t want to whiff on this and become a historical laughingstock. Not to mention setting a terrible precedent going forward: impeachment only means real accountability when the Senate and President are of opposite parties.

Strip away the nonsense and you’ll find Republicans are the only ones viewing this impeachment through a partisan lens.

But seriously. Even from a nakedly partisan, realpolitik perspective. If a Trump is as clean as a whistle as Republicans say he is, then put all the evidence on the table. Make Democrats a laughingstock for having brought these charges. Sit back and enjoy the landslide in Trump’s favor this November.
