"First world ImgFlip problems" for sure, but hear me out
To me, modding my own personal streams, where I can express a viewpoint or celebrate one specific topic, is one of the most fun aspects of ImgFlip.
I created 5 streams within probably my first 3 weeks here at ImgFlip. The other day, I tried to create a new stream and found that the button on my profile to create a new stream had just disappeared. To my consternation, after looking into this, I found that I was hard-capped at 5 streams.
Y'all probably know I have streams for Kylie Minogue
imgflip.com/m/KylieMinogue and her lesser-known but equally cute and talented sister, Dannii
imgflip.com/m/danniiminogue. If I had more than 5 streams available to me, then I would certainly create a few more streams dedicated to other well-known pop stars with an excellent musical taste and unique visual sense -- such as Bruno Mars (depicted), Lady Gaga, and/or Madonna.
And who knows what other stream ideas I might have as I continue to use the platform.
Stream deletion is always an option. However, my streams aren't like some of those obscure streams out there that only have 5-10 memes total. All 5 of them are chock-full of memes already and expanding by the day. I've put a lot of time into building them, and deleting any of them is not a realistic option. I could in theory consolidate my Kylie and Dannii streams, but that would take a lot of time, and I just don't want to.
Another work-around I've considered is just asking another ImgFlipper to create a new stream for me. I would prefer to have all my original stream ideas appear as streams I own on my own profile (and to exercise sole MOD control over them), but this would at least allow these streams to exist.
So: Is the 5-stream limit ever going to be raised?
(Also minor point: I'd like to be able to re-name streams. I have since thought of some slightly better/more playful names for my "Cringe_Hard" stream
imgflip.com/m/Cringe_Hard such as "Cringe_Binge" or "Cringe_Against_The_Machine," but I wouldn't be surprised to hear if stream names are hard-coded into ImgFlip and that's okay.)
