Pre-empting and ridiculing those who would state the obvious. I just find it ridiculous that left leaning media and the severely TDS affected are always making something of a photoshoped image done in fun and so I got in early.

So you must be for a fair and open trial where all facts can come out. Obviously, the man is innocent and that would put a big stain on Nancy and the Dems. Let's do this.

Yes, Nancy was, and still is, afraid — very afraid.

That's the way all impeachment hearings go. It's in the senate the other side gets their say.

You can't use, "second and third hand knowledge only" as an excuse, then pussy out and not let people with first hand knowledge speak.

These are all people on Trumps team. Right wing, close confidants and the LEFT wants to hear what they have to say. The left wants them to speak and want's a real trial, letting the cards fall where they may. Trump is afraid to let them speak. Mitch is afraid to let them speak.

The other side only gets their say if they have a majority in one of the houses of Congress. If the House didn’t have a majority, there wouldn’t even be an impeachment since it was a one sided, partisan vote in favor to impeach.

If the Democrats wanted fairness, they would have allowed Republicans to call their own witnesses during the impeachment hearings. But they aren’t interested in being fair. They got what they wanted - an impeachment label on Trump to appease their far left base. Now they’re afraid of what dirt will come out during a Senate trial and they want to counter it with their own witnesses - something they denied Republicans of. If they had people with first hand knowledge, why didn’t they speak during the impeachment hearings?

That statement doesn't make sense. We both know why she's holding it. Because Mitch just wants to dismiss the impeachment altogether without a trial.

They still might dismiss the impeachment without a hearing. If Mitch does that, the party loses all credibility. That would not be, "letting the cards fall where they may."

That’s not true. He’s going to hold a trial, just not the way Pelosi wants — which is a long, drawn out procedure where Dems can continue trying to drag the president’s name through the mud. We both know that’s the whole purpose of the impeachment hearing in the first place. Democrats have stated their intent to impeach him for years now. It was an impeachment looking for a crime, and the “crime” they came up with is based on presumption and speculation.

The Democratic Party has already lost all credibility.

I will agree that the Dems wanted to impeach him for a long time. That's true. I can't agree that they made this up. This was Trump's doing.

Then you should also agree that investigating Joe Biden for pressuring Ukraine to fire the person investigating the company his son worked for was his doing too. So, Biden is just as guilty of a crime as Trump.

I have no problem investigating Biden. Go at it.

Two people can be guilty of crimes. One does not wash out the crimes of another. You seem to be the one with a double standard here?

The double standard is with the Democrats who claim Trump asking Ukraine to investigate possible corruption was simply for political gain. Yet Biden, who is accused of the corruption in the first place, is completely innocent.

The fact still remains that the Ukrainian President, who was supposedly pressured to open an investigation, denies it. Also, no investigation in Biden has taken place. The “for personal gain” argument is speculative at best. There is no proof that Trump made the request for personal or political gain. Democrats took that assumption probably because it’s exactly the kind of thing they would do. They also wanted to divert attention away from an investigation of their favored candidate.

Funny thing is, I’m not even at Trump devotee. But I know hypocracy when I see it. It’s too bad you and so many others don’t.

Not one of the incitements or pleas were for the “crime” the investigation was supposed to be of - Russian collusion: 0 convictions. Although evidence that collusion took place with Democrats was uncovered.

You’re right, Republicans aren’t as good as digging up dirt as Democrats. They rely more on actual accomplishments than mud throwing.
