I may not be from the U.S. but that doesn't mean I know nothing. Since the U.S. tries to act as "the boss of the world" (superiority complex???) the Dutch news always has news from the U.S. not to mention that the U.S. is a very important topic on geography lessons in the Netherlands (and most other countries of the world for that matter) and American history (most notably the fight of George Washington and the North-South war are both mentioned very thoroughly) is also discussed in detail in the history lessons.
