All this president has done is keep us out of war. I think you may not have been paying attention, or you're drinking the kool-aid from MSLSD / CNN / ABC / CBS / CNBC (fake news) if you think this president has any desire to start a war.

I have been told over and over again by Trump's more intelligent supporters that I needed to take Trump's words "seriously, not literally"!

So when he gets on TV and says stuff like this immediately after assassinating another country's #2, what am I supposed to think? Is this a gambit? A ploy to draw Iranians into the field so we can smoke even more of them? The bloodiest olive branch ever offered in United States history?

I'm glad the missiles last night from Iran did not cause much damage. If this was intended as a signal of de-escalation, and cooler heads on both sides prevail now, good.

But I wouldn't go crowing about it yet. This is a fast-moving story, and the Soleimani assassination still hardens the conflict between Iran and the U.S. for the foreseeable future. There is still plenty of risk and plenty of reasons to suspect it's not over.
