I always thought it was 10% was devoted to logical thinking and problem-solving, the rest of it was dedicated to various motor functions, internal processes, homeostasis, etc.

Using 100% of your brain all at once is called a seizure. The 10% thing doesn't have any basis in reality. It implies that 90% of your very expensive organ called a brain remains dormant. 100% of your brain gets used at one time or another, just not all at once.
