United? Have you heard about The Lincoln Project.com? It is a PAC launched by Republican operatives, with the sole purpose of getting moderate Republicans, conservatives of conscience and others to hold their noses and vote for the nominee of the Democratic Party in 2020. On Jan. 1, the conservative Washington Post ran an editorial written by a Republican operative, titled "Wake Up Republicans, Your Party Stands For All The Wrong Things Now." The number of Republicans Trump has used, then dumped and dumped on, is large and growing. Ed Derwinski, the Republican cabinet member I once worked for, told me, "A politician may smile broadly, when they pose for a picture with you. But, they never forget the tiniest of wounds you inflicted on them." Republicans put up a united facade, mostly out of fear of Trump's negative impulses. The moment they sense he is vulnerable, they will turn on him. Oh, for the record. Obama cut the number of American troops in war zones overseas by more than 90% from 150,000 when he took office to 14,000, when he left. He authorized a small number of strikes, most often by umanned drones, in existing war zones and other sites. But, none of them started a war or had the potential to do so. It seems that facts and spelling are not high on your list of priorities, right?
