Thank you. She was! Best dog I ever had! Boxer/Rottweiler/pit bull mix. Great with our little boy since he was born. And she took a lot of abuse from him without ever snapping at him. I’ve had three dogs over the last 20 yrs., her, her brother and their mom. She was the last one.

I'm so sorry,
Last November,our dog Declan went insane,biting people and crying.The people we bought him from 8 years earlier dropped him on his head as a puppy,so he was afraid of horses with out saddles,and fences.We put him down on December 1st,and he was my best friend.I was the only blonde child in my family,and all my siblings made SO many blonde jokes,and I was always with my Blonde golden doodle,so they called us the golden children,and I had always had a special bond with him.I got to say"Goodbye,golden child. " before he was put down.😔

Oh, that’s so sad. I’m sorry you went through that. But at least you got to say goodbye. Ginger’s brother went in to the vet with my wife and had to be put down, so I never got to say goodbye. But I was there with Ginger, and she went peacefully from old age. It’s never easy. I just wish dogs lived longer than cats...😉

I may be a cat, but I'm fine with dogs most of the time.

I prefer reptiles because I had a really cool lizard when I was 6 and we had the best friendship ever. It died though.

CAT. Mine is by my side showing me love right now. He's my own personal Batman, complete with tragic origin story and occasional team-up with a shady female (my other cat). Every bit a best friend (and thicc/dark knight) as any other pet could be, and better still, the science suggests he thinks I'm a cat too.

I've lived with a hyperactive dog and hated everything about the situation. It's not for everyone, which is something that doesn't get said enough about dogs. It gets said too much about cats. They have more in common personality-wise than they are different. They'll often give back what has been put in with regards to their treatment. Dogs have better PR.

Cats are living art. Mine even sings his own theme music while impersonating a totoro. My shadow, My Roommate Batman.

I used to have both and liked them both, but now I'm definitely more of a dog person. Haven't had cats for 10 or 15 years now so maybe it's just that I'm not used to them, but every time I go to my parents house (they have 3) it drives me nuts to see how they jump on counters, get into any food that is left out, fight and hiss at each other all the time, spit up hairballs, etc. My dog is always excited to see me, I can train her to listen to me (cats never listen), I don't have to clean up after her, she protects our home, actually comes when I call her...it's a long list.
