I am 100% for the Second Amendment. But, we have to have rules. I like cops and value what they do to keep us safe. And, I realize that there are limits to what they can do and some people need to protect themselves. But, the value of a weapon kept for self-protection is weakened if Felons, menatlly ill and otherwise people whose lack of impulse control has made them vioent in nature have free access to guns. Safety locks and community based safety training would also help. The horse thing, as you point out, is satire. But, it got us to talk, civily.
