And those "good guys"... what were they? Civilians with an extraordinaire talent as a gunner? Or trained professionals who are fully trained to deal with these kinds of incidents?
I mean if I were a good guy with a gun trying to shoot a bad guy with a gun, but my aim is not steady so I hit many persons I wanted to save with stray bullets, then even if I hit the "evil guy" himself I am still a murderer in some kind of context...

I also wonder what "good guy" means anyway... The term is so subjective... If somebody kills a mass murderer today does that make him a "good guy"? Even after saving many lives in the process? You do not know what he all did prior to killing that mass murderer, or what he plans to do after that...

Not to mention that (aside from how easy it is to obtain a gun) what happened prior to the "bad guy" becoming a "bad guy"... Their stories can be really tragic. Doesn't give them right to do something like that, but if you can understand these stories and therefore act correctly to people with similar stories, perhaps them turning violent (and thus at a point they become "a bad guy with a gun" to speak in trivial terms) can be prevented.

I hate the term "bad guys" and "good guys"... And yeah I am not really into making a political profile over the dead bodies of others, yet when it comes to guns and shoot-outs in the US, there is a situation there nobody can ignore anymore. Allowing guns is not the answer... That much is clear... Outlawing them is indeed needed, not doing that is no longer an option... As people with tragic backgrounds will always exist, and it's an illusion you can prevent them all from turning violent. Not to mention that some people are just crazy for violence...

Good picture of Chuck Norris. Movies often contains much of wisdom, but also many kinds of foolishness. You cannot compare a choreographed battle (which is all Chuck did) with a real life battle situation. Action movies only show us that because that's what we WANT to believe, and that the good guy with the guns always triumphs over the bad guy with a gun... But is that realistic?
