Exactly, if you're gonna protest, hate the war not the soldiers. Many were drafted, already serving, or enlistment was the best economic option. The government's messy handling of the situation was what protracted U.S. involvement and led to that unnecessary carnage. Seriously, Vietnam was a colossal bureaucratic mess. Everything from not issuing cleaning kits for M16s(they literally told soldiers it was self-cleaning to cover this up) and buying cheaper ammunition(saving like literally 30 cents a round) which caused the rifles to jam and cost many soldiers their lives, to continuously sending more and more troops even after the supposed Vietnamization and promises to get the hell out of there.
