False. Biden wanted to fire the prosecutor for *not* pursuing corruption cases. And Hunter Biden was not on anyone’s radar at this point, and never should have been, because he is not corrupt.

Biden’s threat expressed a legitimate, generalized concern for Ukrainian corruption; Trump’s threat was targeted to one specific political rival.

Calling for the firing of the prosecutor investigating the company your son is working for and threatening to hold up aid over it is clear as day blatant corruption. If for example it was found that President Trump called for Vladimir Putin to fire a Russian prosecutor investigating a Russian oil company for corruption otherwise US aid money would be withheld and it just so happened that Don Jr. was on the board of directors, Trump would be removed from office, I guarantee it. You can argue whether Hunter was corrupt or if he was even on Ukraine’s radar, but Joe knew. Hunter had had that job for some time, so unless Joe and Hunter never talked at all during that time, Joe would definitely have known where his son was working.

Nobody disputes Hunter Biden had a job on the board of Burisma that paid him $50,000/month. That doesn’t prove shit about whether he’s “corrupt.” Thousands of Hunter Bidens sit on company boards around the world and for a lot of them $50,000/month is chump change.

Personally I think Hunter’s probably a petty grifter who obviously benefits from nepotism due to the Biden name... but if you want to start comparing whose children have benefitted more from that... between Biden’s kids and Trump’s, it’s not even close.

Trump’s three oldest kids are worth anywhere between $250 million and $750 million. $50,000/month is certainly chump change to them.

If you really want to investigate Hunter Biden on the basis of the flimsy evidence that’s been presented so far, then it’s past time to investigate Trump’s own kids.
