Yeah, in this case half correct, as grammar turns "leave" into "left" in the context of this sentence, and that creates the funny effect. But it was indeed also creating the same word with a different meaning, and in my last picture both "left" and "right" have been used twice, and both in a different meaning...
Now I don't know if the one who configured that matrix board thought about his own grammar or if he was really confusing left and right, as in the former case change of grammar could have prevented confusion, as that would lead to a different word choice. "Left lanes are closed, use the remaining lanes" or "Left lanes are closed, use the lanes on the right"... Then again, as a novel writer myself (although I write in Dutch, I guess that was obvious), I notice that it's always a kind of discussion what is grammar or just writing style or spelling or whatever...
