Even if you can deem #4 communism (you pay for the "community" after all, hey were do you think the word "communism" is derived from? Doing it all together is a bit of the basis behind that system) , you gotta think outside the box. What if you didn't pay tax and thus the state you live in has as a result no roads, no police, and thus also no law and order, and also no soldiers... So people could not safely travel... Criminals would have their way to go, and when somebody attacks your nation nobody will defend it... Also no fire departments so if your house is on fire... bad luck... No firemen (nor firewomen) to put it out...
Of course, taxes are also older than communism... As long a civilization existed, taxes did... Perhaps a bit more transparency on how tax money is being spent could be in order, but that's a different discussion than paying taxes themselves...
I guess we must think about outside the terms of "communism" and "capitalism"... The extremes of both never worked :P
