I wouldn't mind a government option with a kind of unending loan that if they get on their feet they gotta pay back, but what we have is literally worse than what we had before.

Right. This is very simple: the people least able to pay large unforeseen bills are sick people, because they are sick. An insurance approach does not work. We HAVE to pool our resources and utilize the taxation system to our collective benefit. Why should you be involved in that? Because when you're sick, it will be your turn to benefit.

That is the ONLY approach that helps us. We are the ONLY developed country not to take that approach.

So what on EARTH is the point of complaining about what our tax dollars could be doing for healthcare if it's to defend a President who has put no interest whatsoever into doing that with that money?

You seem to miss the fatal flaw in your idea. We can pool our resources all we want, we can't cover all the sickness and people and it would just end up paying pharmaceutical companies for existing. Whereas now we pay them for innovation and efficiency.
When I get sick my personal insurance that I pay for and choose will cover me. I won't get some massively mismanaged option run by government bureaucrats that have no reason to do well at their jobs.
Have you seen healthcare in other countries that have socialized it? Its ridiculous, surgeries are delayed for years, people die from strep because doctors refuse to do the bacterial test and hand them an aspirin and tell them to go home.
I defend President Trump because he's a businessman and knows all of this.
A government run healthcare system would be an absolute nightmare.
