WHAT ABOUT KARMA & REINCARNATION? These are taught by eastern religions & New Age. One of the tragic implications of both doctrines is that believers recognizes no innocent people’s suffering. They teach that suffering persons need to work through their affliction alone because it's all their own fault. So a mother & child starving to death are in that situation because they were probably greedy with food in a past life. A person with a malady, or who is deformed, is that way for doing something rotten in a past life. Their false belief is that we should not give assistance because we’ll only be making that person repeat the suffering in their next life, until they go through whatever it is on their own. PRAISE GOD THAT'S NOT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS! Instead, God created paradise but sin entered the world. He gave us free will to love & follow our Creator or not. With sin, suffering followed. However, God so loved the world that He gave us His Son, allowing us all to be forgiven, even of the sin and suffering that we have caused to other people because we're all now infected with the sin nature. The good news of God sacrificing His Son, is that we were given a free gift if we'll accept it; a way out of this mess. There's hope! And it won't take a million cycles of lives until maybe we can work our way to heaven after possibly living as a tree, bee, flea, & whatever else. We can know right now today that, at death, we will be saved from this messed up world forever & be in heaven where there is no suffering. Those stuck in eastern religions & New Age have none of that. The very basics of Christianity, that we take for granted, are music to their ears. Please keep that in mind when you run into folks caught in those false beliefs.
