Btw Sparta had a robust and mandatory public education system. Something you’d learn about if you paid attention at school. Roll safe and think about it

Sure, I’ll allow the curriculum was way different. Because society back then was way different. Such a military-oriented education for all wouldn’t make sense in our modern knowledge-based economy.

What aspects of our curriculum would you change today?

There used to be a subject called civics. Teachers taught students what was in the Constitution, what their rights were. Somewhere along the line, civics turned into "social studies," a grab-bag of general topics on how people relate to society. If schools still taught civics, millenials wouldn't be socialists.
