After initial build cost, hydro is cheapest, nuclear is next, coal next, natural gas next, wind next, and solar last. Wind and solar are respectively twice and five times more costly than coal (even with their federal subsidies). Are you going to not only pay that much for your own power, but donate most of your pay to help the poor pay for theirs?
